Can You Sleep in an Oxygen Chamber? What to Expect from a 12-Hour Night Session
Yes. Oxygen Clinic offers an overnight chamber experience from 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM.
This guide explains how the night session works, what is provided, what you can do inside and what the experience should — and should not — be confused with.

8:30 AM
Yes — you can sleep during Oxygen Clinic’s dedicated 12-hour night session. The current published schedule runs from 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM, with four foam mattresses, bedding, refreshments, Wi-Fi, TV, audio equipment, USB charging and staff supervision. It is an overnight wellness experience, not treatment for insomnia, sleep apnoea or another sleep disorder.
Why choose an overnight session instead of a normal two-hour visit?
A normal Oxygen Clinic visit is two hours. The night session is for people who specifically want to spend a full overnight period inside the chamber rather than treating the visit as a daytime appointment.
The key difference is duration and setup. Instead of sitting for two hours, the overnight format adds mattresses, bedding and a 12-hour block that runs through the night. Oxygen Clinic describes this as an extended-stay wellness experience.
The current 12-hour night-session setup
These are the practical features Oxygen Clinic currently publishes for its overnight session.
A full 12-hour overnight session.
14 cm-thick polyurethane foam mattresses.
Duvets, pillows and blankets are included.
Unlimited REDOX water plus tea and coffee in the VIP area.
Wi-Fi, television, audio equipment and USB ports.
Parking is included according to the current Night Sessions page.
What does a night session actually involve?
Arrive and check in
Follow the clinic’s pre-session instructions and staff guidance before entering.
Enter with staff
Entry takes place with staff participation through the chamber pressure-lock process.
Settle in for the night
Use the provided mattress and bedding, read, watch something quietly or sleep.
Exit in the morning
The overnight period ends at 8:30 AM and exit is assisted by staff.
Sleeping in the chamber is not the same as treating a sleep disorder
Oxygen Clinic’s night session gives you the opportunity to sleep inside its oxygen-enriched wellness chamber. That does not mean the clinic is treating insomnia, obstructive sleep apnoea or another diagnosed sleep condition.
NICE’s evidence review for obstructive sleep apnoea found a lack of convincing evidence to recommend oxygen therapy alone for OSAHS. Anyone who suspects a sleep disorder should seek proper clinical assessment rather than using a wellness chamber as a substitute for diagnosis or prescribed treatment.
What can you do before you sleep?
The chamber is equipped for quiet downtime, so an overnight visit does not depend on spending all 12 hours asleep.
Bring something to read while you settle into the night.
TV is part of the current overnight chamber setup.
Audio equipment is available; keep the shared environment considerate.
Use the mattress and bedding when you are ready to settle down.
What rules still apply during an overnight session?
The night format is longer, but it is still a chamber session. Oxygen Clinic’s current terms require visitors to follow staff instructions and chamber safety rules.
Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, open flame and ignition sources are prohibited.
Alcohol is prohibited in the chamber and reception area.
The clinic’s current terms prohibit eating meals inside the chamber.
Technical chamber apparatus must not be handled by guests.
What if you need to leave during the night?
The chamber is not a normal hotel room that you simply walk in and out of. Entry and exit involve pressure changes and take place with staff participation or assistance.
Oxygen Clinic’s current terms state that guests can contact reception using the chamber intercom. If an urgent exit is required, staff should be contacted and the clinic’s emergency procedure followed.
Who should check before booking?
Oxygen Clinic’s terms list contraindications and ask visitors to tell staff about relevant health conditions before entering. If you are pregnant, have an acute ear or sinus problem, a known lung issue, have recently had surgery or are otherwise unsure about pressure exposure, review the current terms and seek appropriate medical advice before booking.
A diagnosed sleep problem should also be managed through appropriate healthcare. An overnight wellness session is not a replacement for CPAP, medical oxygen, sleep-clinic assessment or another prescribed treatment.
